@mhoye@cosocial.ca i hate when people deliver apps written in interpreted languages to end users. it is inherently brittle, and is going to cause a lot of headaches for users who aren't as familiar with the tech stack as the developers.
i have been forced to use cocoapods and fastlane for many years now, both written in ruby, and boy am i tired of solving those projects' issues for them. at least cocoapods is now obsolete and on the way out, replaced by a different app that is mercifully compiled.

@allenbrunson@mastodon.world @mhoye@cosocial.ca as someone who prefers coding in interpreted languages almost exclusively, it does make me sad that end user deliverability is so janky. I'm working on setting up an old project to use some recent tech that can help work around that. Fingers crossed. :) ("static-php-cli" is the recent tech)
