The #Guardian writer summarily dismisses any #Canadian membership in the #EU as "...fails the geographical test" i.e. adjacency or contiguous connection, I assume. But he's wrong:
a) Cyprus and Malta are members, with no direct geographical connection
b) Canada actually HAS a direct connection: it shares #HansIsland with #Denmark https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hans_Island) So we HAVE a contiguous connection.
