Beth's Extended Bechdel Test for movies: Right before a film's release, a government says "You aren't allowed to release this movie if it has two female characters who talk about something other than a man." There's no time or money to reshoot, rerecord, or create new special effects. The only tool the filmmakers have to try to get into compliance is to cut stuff. The film passes Beth's Extended Bechdel Test if it is impossible for the filmmakers or producers to comply without making the film completely incomprehensible. The film fails if it is possible for the filmmakers or producers to comply.
