@ruari@velocipederider.com this has been a problem with transit systems since at least 2017 when NS added contactless payment to the turnstiles. It's frustrating that it is still an issue almost a decade later!

@th@social.v.st Yeah, as I said it seemed to work in that clearly the QR was used and I did not get a charge on that payment card AFAICT. Not sure if they did something clever or I was lucky but my payment wallet poping up when I was trying to use a QR ticket was disconcerting. I tend not to use the payment wallets on my phone (they are only setup as a backup) as I always use wearables like my watch or a ring. For people who do use phone wallets, enabling/disabling all the time would be super annoying!
