I have a friend who is a professor of linguistics. He only accepts handwritten assignments now. His students are probably copying off their screens by hand, but what can you do? I don’t understand spending all that $$$ on education then not bothering to learn.

I don’t understand spending all that $$$ on education then not bothering to learn. Rote memorization, disillusioned educators, lack of role models and personal aspirations, and more distractions than ever - like we’re more awash in entertainment than at any point in history.
