Imagine you have to actually lobby Church to prove that your little shity black box built with stolen data from book authors, web, forums. wiki, code repos, artists as a super intelligence with soul. @nixCraft@mastodon.social If something has a soul and makes a terrible thing on its own, then it can have responsibility and can be blamed for what it does. Otherwise, the one to blame is the manufacturer. And AI companies are terrified of being legally blamed for whatever agentic AI will do wrong.
