This is correct. My church has grown from ~200 members to ~500 members in the last 5 years. In a very blue city in a very blue state.
The problem is not religion per se, it's religion that offers nothing beyond bigotry and hate. There is a whole generation of people who are ready to discover non-hate-filled religion and it's adorable.

@andthisismrspeacock@mas.to I'm Episcopalian and our church has grown enormously in the last ten years. People are flooding in from churches that went Trumpy. We have lots of baptisms and confirmations in the morning service, so we have to accept adult converts in the evening service. Otherwise those services would take all day. Not coincidentally, I see various denominations of priests at protests, but Unitarians and Episcopalians most of all.
