I'm also a US Navy veteran from 1996-2000, was an Aviation Electronics Technician attached to the VFA-136 Knighthawks ("commander" Leiden was a complete fucking idiot and very likely still is) while I was in, and I'm glad I got out when I did. I never had to call that coked-up chimpanzee from Texas my "commander-in-chief" when he didn't really win that election. And don't get me started on what I think about the current election-rigging idiot.

I've lived in the NYC area since late 2002, before that I was born and raised in New Castle County Dullawhere. When I was growing up there at least there were well-paying jobs and lots of space. Now...nothing but ghosts. Dullawhere is a place where hopes and dreams go to die. I've also been married since December 2003. I wouldn't be around if my wife hasn't been around to support me the way she has. long thread/3 (edit: Originally and wrongly said "since late 2022")
