today we learned the previous owners of our house *declined* a CA$20/yr municipal service to maintain the sewer connection and make sure it’s free of roots and obstructions.
last week our drains backed up and we had to pay an emergency plumber a CA$750 *callout fee* to clear roots and obstructions.
