I think it’s like making a cake using box mix. Of course home made is infinitly better but at least you still have a cake at the end of it.
Maybe this soulless AI cat guy will have some human spirit put into them when the creator puts them into a really personal digital puppet show that allows them to express themselves through writing and storytelling as opposed to 3D modeling.

Fair enough I guess. That being said, I am still Team ‘Lasts spend half a day making a cheese cake’ vs box cake. But I’m not going to ask others to follow my lead. (I am also just air frying tenders for dinner, so I’m also lazy at times)

As somebody who made a cake out of bought mix and from scratch both are good. I don’t think it would taste that different if I made the cakes which I do from a mix from scratch instead. Though I do most of them from scratch because I find finding a good cake mix to be hassle and making it myself less so.
