@szakib@freeradical.zone I need a new rain coat anyway which is why I'm querying capes as a possible alternative. I'm not sure whether to just replace what I have or change the whole setup.
The trouble with my waterproof trousers is that they're not the easiest to cycle in, or to put on quickly when the rain comes down! And I do quickly get hot in them.

@Steffi@toot.wales @szakib@freeradical.zone I also have rain pants but I leave them at home unless it's near freezing at least. I'll wear a raincoat with armpit zippers as a wind layer for most of PNW winter, with the cape over if it's raining, and I carry the cape everywhere except maybe jun-aug. Sometimes use the cape over just a shirt or two. If it's hot and raining, wear a swimsuit.
