Is it bacterial? Because antibiotic eye drops work great, for me at least when I have gotten eye infections from swimming.

No worries! The vet says it is cat herpes so they need to fight it off themselves. So hopefully good food, warmth and water will be enough. We do clean them several times a day though with drops and cotton swabs
