@jpaskaruk@growers.social dude you shoulda been there in '22 for literal decades every democrat was saying this was the fight where they'd take the streets almost nobody showed up i fielded at protests / actions with my couple of friends and maybe 150 people would show up total in Pittsburgh two causes: they killed/ imprisoned all the real leaders from the GFU in '20/'21 and most everyone left was a coward, completely impoverished, or socially deactivated by Biden era do-nothings & it rained

    @bigtuffal@dice.camp People needed to get onboard with Occupy, to have caught it in time. Seattle 99. I remember the mockery from all sides, including Jon Stewart, at them. I know that "woke" is a poisoned term, but people really were just sleeping their way through a takeover plan that was pursued for five decades, in plain sight, and now people are all shocked about it. Amy Goodman has been explaining this the whole time, as have many Leftist periodicals that have now died off or transitioned to web-only. My grandmother was on the editorial board of Canadian Dimension for years, when it was paper. Usians who are surprised are my target here, because if you're surprised, you were probably complicit during 99 and Occupy.
