I can now say, I really hate JAWS. I installed some zoom scripts which I had previously purchased. In the middle of the meeting, for some reason, scripts kept asking me to activate. I manually deleted the scripts because I couldn't uninstall them. My issue isn't with the script author, its with the JAWS installer. After deleting the stupid scripts, it caused a problem with loading JAWS because of a missing file. Keep in mind, I was in an important meeting throughout. I thought, hey, I'll repair, I know that it would ask me to restart, but that it would let me keep going and keep on with the meeting, like any normal installer. The JAWS installer has no cancel where it tells you it needs to restart. I was using NVDA at this point so not in dev design, you should always always give your users an escape hatch. When I closed the installer with altogether f4 the asshole simply restarted, no warning, meeting dead. Hate, hate this application. It shouldn't take fifteen minutes to install, and it should not require restart after repair, ever. Sucky design assholes. I still must use the application both to support my users and for work, sadly.
