With the Faircamp 2 release coming up in the next ~10 days I'm now working on the final splash screen graphic. Attached are some outtakes from the experimentation process today.
These are procedurally generated using https://paperjs.org/, by splitting numeral glyphs (1, 2) into tiles and then iteratively decaying them by swapping tiles.
I already have a candidate for the final graphic (not one of these, and somewhat different aesthetic) but I'll sleep over it first. :)

@freebliss@post.lurk.org Nice, and interesting that you're using a JS method. This is similar to experimenting/abusing live blends in vector graphics tools — but with compositing/blend modes.
