@anthropy@mastodon.derg.nz also, 20 km is not too bad. Need to check the relief in between. Sometimes only thing You need is a couple more meters higher placement ;) Also, directional antenna could be a solution. Until the network grows enough to fill the gap.

@KasTasMykolas@river.group.lt getting a high pole up would probably help, my house isn't super big compared to surrounding buildings. My neighbor used to be a ham and used to actually have a rather professional tower for his antennas, but he took it down unfortunately (he's nearly 80 now), otherwise that would've been a great fit. I might talk about it with the local HAMs, but officially it is illegal in the netherlands to mount things without explicit permission, and I suspect the muncipality won't approve 💔
