I feel like at the prices they sell BD-Rs at I might as well buy an expensive tape archive drive and some tape drives. Will probably make my money back at like the 1 tape mark compared to the same on BD-R.

I do wonder what the archival resilience is of tapes are. BD-R claims 100 years, but I also know a ton of CDs that claimed that have already started to rot.
