We're heading south for the rest of winter, which means that we have to drain and power down the water heaters, flush the pipes, and turn off the water well in order to keep the pipes in the three buildings from freezing while we are gone. To simplify this task I have installed various valves and drains to empty the water lines… While emptying one of the cottages today, I pulled the wrong valve first and soaked myself through my clothing… Reminder - turn the water supply valve off first then open the low point drain when flushing the other two buildings...
