Making some more progress on Demon's Souls. Never finished it before. Made a wizard this time with a magic falchion and heater shield, and medium armor. Magic is ridiculous in this installment of the souls series, and I'm only getting slower so we're going to take the hard game as easy as possible. I love the simple mechanics and controls combined with the hyper-detailed graphics of Bluepoint. No jumping, drop-stabbing, or omni-directional rolling. You roll side to side backward or forward only. Since the levels branch from a single hub in an organized manner unlike the intertwined world of Dark Souls, each branch is linear but immaculate. Demon's Souls level designs feel carefully paced and deliberate with every step I take - Castle Boletaria being my personal favorite example with its mixture of traps, knights, demons and dragons. The resources you find are precious and taking advantage of the resources of the different worlds is key to advancement in others. Looking forward to more! #demonsSouls #ps5
