The extended hot spell has given us bazillions of butterflies on the Cunnigar at the moment. I was literally getting mobbed by clouds of them at one point.
They are particularly attracted to the Sea Holly and Ragwort.

By volume the most common were the Burnett moths as usual but the number of meadow browns, painted ladies, and cabbage whites was extremely high. There were some visible at almost every point where I stopped and looked around. #waterford #butterflies #biodiversity #ireland
