@virbonus@sueden.social I've changed fuses on several T-series and the most often issue is due to users dicking around with the display cable while the battery is connected. sorry I can't help you with local talent, but it's literally one SMD fuse to replace so any phone repair shop can do the job. the board has to come out though, or hot air will fuck up the speakers and other plastic. so when you find someone, tell them you'll bring them the board solo, might get you a discount because they don't gotta dis/assemble the whole shebang. here's where it was located on my T490, might be similar: https://defcon.social/@yuman/116595139783394614 it's the right-most one above the display connector. afterwards, when you're done, put some good adhesive tape on the display connector so it doesn't get loose.

    @yuman@defcon.social Thanks a lot! I found someone with the soldering talent, but didn't know that the mainboard has to come out. Hope that's not too difficult an operation ... And no, I didn't mess with any connector - just closed the lid on a fully functional device and opened on a dark screen.
