factor 5 gets all the credit for maxing out nintendo consoles these days but have you SEEN conker’s bad fur day? it runs at 30 fps (mostly), lights cast actual shadows with softened edges, it has motion blur and per-pixel distortion effects, no distance fog, a lot of animated physics stuff (e.g. when crossing suspension bridges), the controls are smooth as butter, there’s mp3 audio and dolby pro logic encoding and full voice acting for ~2 hours of cutscenes… i think it’s the only non-homebrew N64 game with that much technical effort put into it
