i always have trouble when people compliment me, not because i can't take the compliment, but i feel like a simple 'thank you!' on every single reply would feel too... boring, or like, disengaged. but i also can't bring myself to spend a lot of energy on replies in general, even if i want to reply with something more tangible.... bleh
