My family fought in the same war so I share your dismay and frustration at the lack of pushback.

@TrueNorthSpice@mastodon.world As a kid I often wondered how hitler and the nazis got to where they did, prior to the war, without opposition...now, I see exactly how. 'Softly, softly, catchee monkey' - take out minorities first means little to no objection, *but* they *will* come for *you* in the end - only the supporters of fascism will remain free: 'if you're not with us then you're against us'. I fear history *is* repeating itself 😔.
