RE: https://mastodon.social/@heidilifeldman/117338693898076310 cannot repeat this enough: #misogyny and the normalization of #rape is one of markers ―if not the most important marker― of #fascism. indifference to rape, the most cruel act of violence, is a complete abdication of empathy. without empathy, corruption is law. in a world led by indifference to suffering, fascists can use racism, ableism, xenophobia, pedophilia, bestiality, ecocide, hate to thrive. that’s why fascists need corruption to survive. and why cruelty is the point of fascism.
