GNU grep is unlikely to disappoint, but -clr at least in interactive cases does a little. Instead of giving the number of matches and leaving out the files with no matches, it ignores the c flag. -l, --files-with-matches print only names of FILEs with selected lines -c, --count print only a count of selected lines per FILE
