    Perhaps an unpopular opinion around here, but as far as I am concerned, this is a separate form of piracy that I believe in. This guy was actively making tons of money, selling to people who were not only willing to pay artists for their work, but were unaware they were purchasing a bootleg in the first place. This type of behaviour only gives weight large corporations’ arguments when they attack people who share replications of digital files/rips. I think his sentencing is fair.

    I honestly can’t understand this, copying records must take a huge amount of time and machinery, not to mention vinyl. Seems like a crazy thing to start doing

    sold counterfeit copies of records by some of the world’s biggest artists I would imagine he would not be selling my albums, which would get them a dollar (I would buy a copy myself)

    Its fine piracy isnt theft and these people weren’t going to buy the full priced product anyway
