@ascentale@sfba.social @bikenite@fedigroups.social #BikeNitePQ crashed my bike and broke my collarbone, apparently it’s very common for cyclists. Any stories to share or advice about recovery?

@ascentale@sfba.social @bikenite@fedigroups.social So how can nasty old bike shorts be upcycled? It's not quilt material :P What have you found on the road recently? There was this ... cylindrical thing that said "subsurface instrumenets" and .. it was emitting assorted high tones....

@ascentale@sfba.social @bikenite@fedigroups.social How can small businesses build a clientele with diverse transportation modes? Some business owners oppose bike lanes, bus lanes, and street safety improvements; some claim that the loss of parking will be fatal for their business, despite studies showing that business activity generally increases after such projects. Given that urban street design philosophy in many US cities is finally prioritizing safety and multimodal transportation, what can businesses do to prepare for that future? #BikeNitePQ

@ascentale@sfba.social After ~50 years of trouble-free cycling, I seem to have recently become the sort of person who's prone to abscesses. My GP says it might just be a "phase" I'm going through. I think I'm doing the obvious right things. Has anybody else been in that situation? What's worked for you, either for prevention or dealing with the problem once it occurs? #BikeNitePQ

@ascentale@sfba.social @bikenite@fedigroups.social No matter witch saddle I use, my toes on the right foot get numb after approx. 30 - 45 minutes ride. I am more the skinny type btw. #bikenitepq
