I think it would be entirely reasonable to insist on no LLM contributions. Let's not assume dishonesty as a baseline. Free software is about community, and communities are based on trust.

(I'm not trying to be insulting; I agree with you in the abstract that this is how things **should** be.) There's a messy reality out there, and one of those messy realities is that passing a rule/law/whatever that is largely unenforceable waters down faith in and then obedience of rules/laws/whatever. Sometimes you just have to accept the "good enough" over the perfect. I'm comfortable with the LO's policy.
