Einerseits sehe ich die Kritik des Films an der Leistungsgesellschaft, die ständig im selben Trott dieselben Routinen durchführt, und auf der anderen Seite sehe ich die Ängste eines werdenden Vaters der vor der Entscheidung steht das Kind großzuziehen, oder nicht.
Am Ende möchte er das Kind retten, das sich jedoch schließlich opfert um ihm das Weiterleben in den lebenslangen, sich wiederholenden Routinen ermöglicht.
On the one hand, I see the critique of a performance-driven society that endlessly repeats the same routines in the same rut; on the other, I see the fears of an expectant father facing the choice of whether or not to raise the child.
In the end, he wants to save the child—who, however, ultimately sacrifices itself to enable him to continue living within those lifelong, repetitive routines.
