@MarkAsser@beige.party Council recently renovated our street, including drainage and surface. They kindly left a traffic cone outside our house to cover works on a grid, as if one could fall through the 3cm gaps. We adopted the cone, gave it a name (Dave) and when other workers or random night walkers moved it, we'd retrieve Dave and place him/her/it back in place above the grid plate. Dave survived almost a year, but a few weeks ago went sadly missing. We don't like to think Dave was kidnapped into slavery or the sex trade, but prefer to imagine he succumbed to wanderlust and is visiting drainage grids all over the suburb, giving them words of encouragement and hope. Not all traffic cones are thoughtless mutes.
