but uh well yes. it is kind of like that. "this you?" is only normal behavior if you have racked up ten thousand hours on twitter. i don't think less-Online people tend to do that actually

i promise you that you do not want instabans from a glance at a repulsive tweet. these ones look to have been pretty cut and dry, but i have seen more than enough people get hit for something that was emotional or ironic or referential or whatever — the Extremely Online, all the moreso. and then they only tend to get reversed after *sigh* a lot of people yelling about it (or possibly selection bias, where i only hear about the cases people yell about)
