I mean, the moment they _make you_ pledge something about _liberty_, you know it's phony. You are either free or you have to recite the pledge. You can't have both liberty and mandate for the same thing.

They don't make you, they just socially pressure you. I stopped in high school when Germans on the internet convinced me it was uncomfortably nationalistic.
