A lot of jobs are heavily encouraging AI usage (some even straight of forcing it). Knowing how to use it in a work environment in a way that won’t fuck everything up is a useful skill. Biggest part of that is not blindly trusting what the AI says and/or copy pasting the result without double checking it first. But also using optimal prompts, knowledge sources, etc. There’s also other forms of AI other than LLMs that are used in research and the medical field. How those would be used in HS idk but they are pretty cool to learn about if your a science nerd like myself.

    Dude, I use LLMs daily as a developer. There’s practically nothing about using them that can’t be taught in like an hour once you’re an adult. You definitely don’t need to develop a dependency on them in grade school.
