On counting other forges, I suspect some back of the napkin guesstimates could be derived from https://archive.softwareheritage.org/ (make assumptions of pushes and geo distribution for others listed on that page) and better than napkin estimates by looking at the actual commit data in @swheritage@mstdn.social (I'd love to see it).
