@sjolsen@tech.lgbt most times the issues i find in this side of tech tend to be of trying to use a magical special super cool hammer that can do anything, to fix absolutely every problem. so then you have insane programming languages with insane rules and insane operating systems that don't work and it's even worse when you have a system like linux where everything is insane about something but in opposing directions, so you end up with an OS that is completely inconsistent and sometimes incompatible with itself systemd might suck, i hate it, but it did do something: it brought (somewhat of) a structure to a system that is built by insane people
