Saying that some new thing ”has dropped” drives me crazy. Just read that a new restaurant had dropped. What does that even mean! A product is released. A restaurant is opened. Neither are dropped. There, that’s my language rant for the day.

@tomnorthfilm@mastoart.social That term gives me anxiety too, mainly because at my $dayjob if a database table is ‘dropped’, it means it’s been deleted.
