@albnelson@beige.party @geekysteven@beige.party I think the modern AI's actually go beyond LLM and integrate that technique with others like ML or pattern recognition.
I think LLM will continue to be a useful technique in AI. We have to go through a phase where we apply it to everything before we figure out what it actually works on and what it doesn't.
If this was just a technical issue and not a nightmare riding on crazy we might have survived that process.

@crazyeddie@mastodon.social @geekysteven@beige.party I know some folks using ML for legit purposes in healthcare… I keep warning them that a backlash is coming because of how much the chatbots are screwing up everything, even though their work has nothing to do with that. And imagine when the bubble bursts…
