Infrared images from JWST pierce the gloom & reveal Centaurus A's intricate inner workings: Streams of stars from two colliding galaxies. New stars forming from the wreckage. A black hole, 100 million times as massive as the Sun, shooting jets & disrupting its surroundings.

There is so much happening in the heart of Centaurus A. Streams of millions of stars. A massive black hole (within the bright central dot) stirring up the gas and dust. Complex structures, puzzling, never seen before. A lot of cosmic mystery to untangle. https://esawebb.org/images/weic2615a/ #science #astronomy #nature
