And that video loop in the article is mesmerizing.
I read a wonderful book "The World in a Grain" that's all about sand. There's a part discussing beach erosion and why beach "nourishment" (dredging / adding sand) is a bad idea. But it sounds like the seawall they want to build is not a good idea either.
