This week's jukebox music theme is Personal Playlist, the songs of our own life. Here is the one that always makes me stand up, starts my blood flowing, brings me to smiles and tears. The "Ode to Joy" from Beethoven's 9th Symphony is one of the greatest musical compositions of human genius. Here it is moving an entire crowd of people to sing along. "Freude, Schöner Götterfunken, Tochter aus Elysium, Wir betreten feuer-trunken, Himmlische, dein Heiligtum! Deine Zauber binden wieder, Was die Mode streng geteilt; Alle Menschen werden Brüder, Wo dein sanfter Flügel weilt." And in English - "Joy! A spark of fire from heaven, Daughter from Elysium, Drunk with fire we dare to enter, Holy One, inside your shrine. Your magic power binds together, What we by custom wrench apart, All men will emerge as brothers, Where you rest your gentle wings." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ah-5wLaTwME #JukeboxFridayNight #PersonalPlaylist
