Works fine against the guy that stole your laptop at the coffee shop, and you can choose to not give ms the key.
It's not perfect, but it does what it should for most people

@furicle@mastodon.social Theres two words missing from my post that would make it 100% accurate "by default". only missing because I wasn't aware of the full situation and people have straightened the situation out already in other conversations. By default bitlocker is insecure. In the US, literally everyone's primary danger comes from our current govt, and bitlocker by default is insecure to that danger.
