@Armadillosoft@mastodon.social He was prescient about automation. My favourite story of his is The Pedestrian. A man goes out for an evening walk in his suburban neighbourhood. Every street is empty, with the houses on either side giving out ghostly, flickering glows from the TV sets everyone else is clustered around. A robot police car stops and asks him questions about what a sane, respectable citizen would be doing out at this time of the evening. It decides he's crazy, and takes him in for reprogramming.
