My primary workhorse 3D printer turns 10 years old this year. It’s an amalgamation of the original build and new parts. It’s not fast, but it’s incredibly reliable and modified to be truly mine.
Is it bad I’ve become emotionally attached to a mediocre machine?

The printer started life as a Folgertech FT5 R2. It’s still mostly the same basic frame, but all electronics aside from the original MKS Gen 1.4 have been replaced. E3D Hemera that I fabricated some extra parts for to improve performance with flexible materials. And above all, Klipper is a godsend and the only reason it’s still has the old MKS board in it.
