Fedi, I love you, but you can be exhausting. - This post was referring to a specific argument I've seen multiple times here, namely that people shouldn't like/favorite/star things because they don't raise the visibility of posts in other peoples' feeds. - I'm not interested in fighting over whether the latter is/should be called an "algorithm." - I wasn't talking about the "explore" tab. - If you haven't seen people make the argument I'm responding to: Cool, whatever.
