@vga256 It still looks so futuristic - more current than anything else on the market today. It’s cohesive, thoughtful and designed with such sensitivity towards the user that it’s weird to think this didn’t start a revolution. But also the proportions are so nice, well balanced and intentional that every modern computer feels vulgar in comparison to my eyes.

@ThreeOhFour @vga256 Agreed. A friend still has one, and I do remember that helping him set the thing up was a wondrous experience. Also, everything felt much better 20+ years ago.

@ThreeOhFour now that i get a chance to look at it again, it's funny how much power those HK speakers add to the aesthetic. you are absolutely right about contemporary machines looking vulgar - i can't imagine what a shitboat my generic white K6-2 300 looked beside that thing at the time.
