  There is a Wall Street in Auburn. The museum does a reassuringly excellent job contextualizing the institution & facility associated with it. Unlike its better known cousin downstate, which represents another facet of the same machinery, this eponymous wall is still there. Even if only for a moment, it's chilling to look north, down hill along Washington Street to that corner and along the adjoining wall and its towers.
