@matildalove@wetdry.world what really gets me was how coordinated it was. The weather was bad and caused poor hearing and balance for the tall humans. They all rushed in at once and ran around us in circles. During the confusion, one of them opens a car door (the only door without a human nearby), and slips in in less than a second. This felt /rehearsed/. This felt planned with communication. Those little dudes were smart. And you can't fight one of them off. They're strong and have huge teeth; a bite can devastating. Just. Man. I'm laughing and telling a story now but I was genuinely shaken up for hours. I kept thinking of all the things that could've gone wrong. This could've been an amputated limb for any one of us, or worse. We got pretty much the best outcome. Zero outta ten, do not encounter wild baboons.
