#Quicksy registrations are permanently closed. The project was viable for a long time only because it required minimal effort. However, fighting industrial-scale SMS pumping fraud has become unsustainable, both financially and in terms of workload. The XMPP server will remain online for the foreseeable future, but users are advised to switch their client to #Conversations_im.

@daniel@gultsch.social That's too bad, but understandable. Thank you for your effort <3

Вот и закончилась эпоха. Спасибо за долгие годы работы. Quicksy был самым удобным XMPP-клиентом в мире, в первую очередь из-за простой регистрации. Я рекомендовал его всем обычным людям.

@daniel@gultsch.social This is why we can't have nice things :( Thanks for doing Quicksy in addition of everything else and keeping it until now!

@daniel@gultsch.social When I first started using XMPP, it was with blabber.im (both the app and the service); a few friends and family members followed suit. The service shut down abruptly, and I managed to get some of them to switch to Conversations, but most moved to Quicksy. Last week I tried desperately to add new friends on Quicksy, and today I realise why it wasn’t working.
