people talk a lot about the "vulnpocalypse" this year, a supposedly new trend where there are too many CVEs to patch.
Here is a presentation slide by the Carnegie Mellon CERT Coordination Center from 2006. Two decades ago!

@eloy@hsnl.social Yeah, interesting... https://www.cve.org/about/Metrics#PublishedCVERecords The numbers keep trending up, with huge jumps in 2005 (1612->6708 = 316%) and 2017 (6457->14645 = 127%). I'm not seeing a similar 3-digit percent increase from the AI vulnpocalypse.
